International RELATIONS and the Iron curtainA major result of the cold war was the separation of the world to a side of the conflict.
A major example is West and East Germany. Following world war two Germany was split between the allies. One side'e economical Beliefs being Capitalism (East Germany) and Capitalism (West Germany). Countries that were controlled or governed by Communism are Russia, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Albania, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania China and many others. Capitalistic Countries against Communism included United States, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain , Canada, Norway, and many others. The Cold war split up tons of countries to take up a side in the conflict. The Iron Curtain refers to a almost a wall that separated Europe in half. one side being communist and the other being capitalist. Countries that didn't side with Capitalism or Communism a were called Non alignment countries. |
