Communism-Soviet Russia |
Key principals of Communism are; a classless society, Work according to ability, receive according to need and government control in the economy.
Russia's goverment before the rise of Communism had a authoritarian goverment called the Czar. Th czar were far from perfect they had famine due to poor transportation, resisted all suggestions to charge. Lenin rose in popularity with workers who were displeased with the difficult social situations. Several attempts to take control of the goverment by Lenin eventually worked but with many problems. They tried changing the country way to fast led to drops in agriculture and industrial production.Groups still supported the old Czar government. To implement Communism in Russia the goverment needed complete trust of the people. Stalin used many violent tactics to keep control over the Russian people including mass executions, propaganda and secret police to spy on everyone. Russia use of communism can be considered unsuccessful it allowed tons of violence, suffering, famine and death in the country to be implemented. It is ultimately unjustified in its rejection to liberalism |
Fascism- nazi Germany |
Key principals of Fascism are a deep sense of nationally, a complete state controlled society, anti-parliamentarian and a rigid class system.
The rise of Nazi Germany was started by the aftermath of the First World War. Germany was blamed for the WW 1 and thus responsible for all damage done in the war. Germany was to make reparation payments of 33$ billion US. All of Germany's colonies were also taken from them. In the years following the First World war Germany was in economical turmoil. when Germany's economy seemed to stabalise in 1923 to 1929 the great depression happen plunging Germany into more economic hardship. The Nazi party used this turmoil to their advantage, they promised to provide every citizen with an opportunity to make a living. The government adopted several social reforms to appeal to socialist for example welfare state, disability insurance, health insurance, and old-age insurance. Negative thing the The Nazi party did when in power, limited the right to to vote, promoted racism and antisemitism, restricting other personal freedoms, censorship of media and started a World War ( a minor thing really ) which killed over 60 million people. Hitlers rejection to liberalism also not justified, the amount of people killed alone shows the amount of destruction it caused .The results of the second war will be felt to this day and will be felt for years after. |
